Time for family!

Garner, North Carolina, October 7-13, 2013

overcast 60 °F

The trip from Williamsburg was an easy one, except for some heavy rain before we arrived. Luckily, it had stopped in time for us to get all set up. We spent much of the week with Justin, Gwen and Callie, just enjoying time together. Don and I were able to do some walking on the Neuse River Trail on a couple mornings. We walked 4 miles each time. Originally we had hoped to get some biking in, but the weather didn't cooperate. On Thursday and Friday I spent all day at their house helping Gwen babysit for Ethan, who is about 2 months younger than Callie. He is getting into a routine now, so Gwen is glad about that. I also was able to do some laundry and get a scrapbook started for her. Yesterday was a Syracuse football game that Callie and I opted out of. We stayed home and played and napped. This morning we all went to church and Callie chose the nursery. She was the cutest one there! It has been a wonderful week with all of them and we will surely miss them until we can return.

The weather started out in the upper 50s and ended up in the upper 60s, with some rain every day, but we didn't see the sun at all! It was just like Central New York :(
