Yesterday was a perfect day to go to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg. We arrived in the morning and it wasn't crowded at all. Don, Justin and Gwen got to ride rides with little or no wait, and I got to be Nana pushing the stroller. By late afternoon, though, the Hallow-Scream crowd had arrived and lines were very long. Callie got to ride on the parking lot tram and the train around Busch Gardens. More rides when she is older.
This morning we spent at Colonial Williamsburg because Gwen had never been and Justin was just a kid the last time he was there. Unfortunately Callie was overtired and not enjoying herself. Since we hadn't purchased a ticket, we just wandered the streets and checked things out.
When the three of them left they were going different places. They were all going to meet up with Gwen's sister, Allisen, and Justin was leaving the girls with her. The three girls are driving to New York today because Gwen and Allisen's grandfather passed away last week. They plan to return on Wednesday. Justin headed home by himself. We will be heading over to Garner tomorrow, so we will be seeing him for a few days before his girls return.
The weather has been hot, in the high 80s, and sunny. It is supposed to take a turn for the worse tomorrow, so we are appreciating the sun now.
